Clinical Research Hamburg is an ambulatory investigation for clinical research of phases II, III and IV from different indications spheres of human medicine. It was founded by the managing doctor Axel Holst (PhD) in the legal form of a limited company (GmbH) in February 2004. Doctors of different suject areas act as investigator for Clinical Research Hamburg. The current study team consists of 3 doctors, 5 study nurses, as well as an accountant and administrative staff. Feasibility of a study in a registered doctor’s own practice is complicated by increasing demands with a view to specialist know-how, administration, staff and apparatus. Clinical Research Hamburg takes into account this change of prevailing conditions: all resources are solely made available to clinical research: time, facilities, competence, apparatus and staff prerequisites.

This may sound trivial – but, in fact, is the basic condition for successfully carrying out clinical investigation.
Qualified doctors and study nurses exclusively focus on ambulatory investigation – freed of everyday’s hectic pace in a clinic or doctor’s practice. Working in core competence of clinical research is a guarantor for high quality, effectivity and meeting strict deadlines.
Recruting patients from Hamburg and its surroundings is being done by our network of cooperating practices, newspaper advertisements as well as information campaigns.
Our ambulatory investigation is in the east of Hamburg in the district of Rahlstedt, conveniently situated for public transport. The regional railway line station Hamburg-Rahlstedt is only 200 metres away (Line RB81). Vis-à-vis our ambulatory investigation there is a central bus terminal for the following bus lines: metrobuses 9, 24 and 26, and further bus lines 162, 164, 168, 275, 364 and 462. There is a large public multi-storey car park directly behind our office block in Mecklenburger Strasse.
